Honda Racing F1 Team is a Formula One team run by Japanese car manufacturer Honda. The team is based in Brackley, United Kingdom, and uses the facilities of former British American Racing, which Honda fully acquired in 2005. Engines are built at the Honda R&D facility in Tochigi, Japan. The Honda team is led by Nick Fry and currently has drivers Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello. The team began by using the same predominantly white livery that Honda used in the sport during the 1960s, but has since switched to a livery dubbed the "Earth Car", depicting the planet earth and space. |

| With tobacco sponsorship in F1 now in full decline, 2007 also sees the
end of British American Tobacco's sponsorship of Honda, allowing the team
to choose a livery that reflects their corporate image. Unveiled on 26
February 2007, the RA107 car features the bare minimum of corporate advertising
(advertising required by the FIA), instead focusing on Honda's environmental
desires, with a livery depicting the planet Earth against the black background
of space. On the rear wing is the web address of environmental awareness
website myearthdream.com. This site was launched February 27, 2007, immediately
after the official launch of the 2007 car. Reactions to the new Honda livery
have been mixed, with Greenpeace accusing the team of being hypocritical,
given how polluting F1 is. The team's form in pre-season testing was patchy, and Jenson Button urged the squad to improve. The RA-107's sheer lack of pace was evident at the season-opening Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on March 18th, with Button and Barrichello qualifying 14th and 17th respectively (well behind the 'satellite' Super Aguri team, whose car is effectively an update of last year's Honda, the RA-106). Barrichello finished the race in 11th place, with Button in 15th after receiving a drive-through penalty for speeding in the pit lane. The team also failed to score points in the four subsequent races, their best finish being 10th in Spain and Monaco, scored both times by Rubens Barrichello. Honda finally scored a point in the French Grand Prix, courtesy of Button's eighth place finish. From July 2007, recognising the aerodynamic problems within the car, Honda began to recruit a new team from across the Formula 1 paddock. Chief aerdynamist Loic Bigois and assistant Francois Martinet were signed from WilliamsF1; Jörg Zander and John Owen from BMW Sauber either later in 2007 or early in 2008. On July 19, 2007, it was announced that Barrichello and Button will continue the factory effort as teammates into 2008. |

| Mariah Carey is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, music video director,
and actress. Her debut was in 1990 under the guidance of Columbia Records
executive Tommy Mottola, and she became the first recording artist to have
her first five singles top the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. Following
her marriage to Mottola in 1993, a series of hit records established her
position as Columbia's highest-selling act. According to Billboard magazine,
she is the most successful artist of the 1990s in the United States. Carey took much more control over her image and music following her separation from Mottola in 1997, and she introduced elements of hip hop into her album material. Her popularity was in decline when she left Columbia in 2001, and she was dropped by Virgin Records the following year after a highly publicized physical and emotional breakdown, and the poor reception of Glitter; her film and soundtrack project. In 2002, Carey signed with Island Records, and after an unsuccessful period, she returned to the forefront of pop music in 2005. Carey was named the best selling female pop artist of the millennium at the 2000 World Music Awards. She has recorded the most number-one singles for a female solo artist (seventeen) in the United States, where she is the third best-selling female recording artist of all-time behind Barbra Streisand and Madonna, according to the Recording Industry Association of America. In addition to her commercial accomplishments, she has earned five Grammy Awards, and is well-known for her vocal range, power, melismatic style, and use of the whistle register. However, some critics have said Carey's efforts to showcase her vocal talents have been at the expense of communicating true emotion through song. Whitney Elizabeth Houston (born August 9, 1963) is a six-time Grammy award winning, American R&B singer, soprano, pianist, actress, film producer, and former model She is well-known for her powerful vocals, melismatic style, her expansive vocal range and her agile coloratura.Houston has also won twenty-three American Music Awards, a record for a group or solo artist, both male or female. Houston is one of a few black artists to receive heavy rotation on MTV in the 1980s, in the networks early years. She is the only artist to have a record seven consecutive Billboard Hot 100 #1 hit singles, is the fourth best-selling female artist in the US behind Barbra Streisand, Madonna and Mariah Carey,and she has sold over 170 million records worldwide. AOL Black Voices said "Though her success seemed like a lightening rod, it was always validated by Whitney's polished and powerful vocal abilities."Houston is considered one of the 100 most fascinating black women of the 20th century according to Ebony Magazine. Rumors of drug abuse and spousal abuse led to a decline in her album sales during the 2000s. She entered into drug rehabilitation twice. After a successful second program in 2006, Houston divorced her husband Bobby Brown and gained custody of their daughter. She has since been working on her 7th studio album with music mogul and close friend Clive Davis. |
